Welcome to the historic Key Peninsula! If this is your first time out (or you just need a quick refresher), we’ve put together some information to get you started:

As there is so much to see, we recommend picking a farm on either the north or south end of the KP to start your day.  You can find a list of all our farms here, and if a location does not have sufficient parking, it is accessible via our free shuttle service (see “Shuttle Bus Service” below).  Some of our farms are only available on the first day, so make sure and plan accordingly.

If you are coming out on Saturday, Oct 2nd, the Firehouse Pancake Breakfast starts at 8 am until around 11am at the Lakebay & Key Center Fire Stations.

You won’t want to miss the Fiber Arts Show and antique tractor displays at the Longbranch Improvement Club.  Here you’ll find craft vendors, food, music and more.

The Longbranch Marina (via shuttle service only) offers information on our rich history, the Pierce County Sheriff’s fire boat, and many other booths.

Gateway Park (north loop) features the historic Huckleberry Machine display, master gardeners to answer your questions, the Key Pen Parks and Rec foundation with information on our outdoor activities, food and more!

If you are looking to overnight here, we are proud to feature several locations, from cabins at Sound View camp, Air BnB at scenic Maplebrook Farm, to camping at 2 of our beautiful state parks.

June Blooms (Spring)

Our new June event grew out of many requests from previous attendees of the fall events. From garden starts to spring farm babies, flowers in bloom and gardens in production-people want to see more!

KP Farm Tour & Harvest Festival (Fall)

As there is so much to see, we recommend picking a farm on either the north or south end of the KP to start your day (the Farm Tour runs from 10AM to 4PM).  You can find a list of all our farms and stops here. Some of our farms are only available on the first day, so make sure and plan accordingly.

You won’t want to miss the Fiber Arts and Antique Car Show at the Longbranch Improvement Club.  Here you’ll find craft vendors, food, music and more.

Gateway Park is bringing back an Apple Cider Squeeze to the Key Peninsula! It’s a wonderful tradition to bring the community together once again. We’ll be hosting the squeeze event at Gateway Park on the second day of the annual KP Farm Tour from 10am to 4pm.

Purchase fresh squeezed apple cider. Available by the glass ($2), quart ($5), 1/2 gallon ($8),  or gallon ($12). Apple fritters are ($5). Also available are Farm Tour Water Bottles ($5) each for the first 60 guests. Proceeds benefit the Key Peninsula farm Council and your support keeps our events going!

Sound View Camp:

Enjoy the Key Peninsula Farm Tour to the maximum with an overnight at Sound View Camp! With this year’s expansion of the tour to two days, we’re offering an overnight for out-of-towners who need two days to experience the magic of the farm tour. The KP Farm Tour has been an annual event on the Key Peninsula since 2006, and attracts people from around Washington for a day of fun visiting farms and supporting local farmers. This year the second day will feature an apple squeeze, a farmer’s market, and even more farms to visit!

Penrose State Park:

The camp provides 82 standard campsites one hiker/biker site, one dump station and three restrooms (two with showers). The campground is in the woods, and all sites are shady or partly shady. None of the campsites are on the water, but the beach is only a short walk away. Typical campsites accommodate a vehicle or combination of up to 35 feet. A few sites can handle longer vehicles or combinations, but the campground roadways are narrow and winding.

Reservations for camping are available May 15 through Sept. 15 and can be made up to 9 months in advance. Camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis September 14 thought May 14.

Check-in time is 2:30 p.m.
Check-out time is 1 p.m.

Joemma Beach State Park:

The park has 19 primitive tent spaces and five vault toilets (all ADA). In addition, there are two Cascadia Marine Trail sites, available only to campers arriving by wind-and-human-powered watercraft, and three primitive hiker / biker sites (no motorized vehicles permitted). Maximum site length is 40 feet (limited availability). All campsites are first come, first served.

Check-in time is 2:30 p.m.
Check-out time is 1 p.m.
